YOUNG SOLOISTS OF LJUBLJANA
Young soloists of Ljubljana was established in december 2010 by three enthusiastic young musicians who believed that having own private orchestra will not only dramatically rise their musical abilities and experience, but also force them to learn laws and features of musical business and improve as persons. Orchestra was put together with friends and other young musicians and enthusiasts, who believed in the same story and were willing to put their energy, time and love into a project which after 5 years of creating makes them proud, satisfied and motivated.
In five years of existence Young Soloist of Ljubljana chamber orchestra skyrocketed in slovenian classical music scene. It collaborated with many important musical institutions as Festival Ljubljana, Festival Bled, Festival Celje, Jeunesse musicale Ljubljana, Jeunesse musicale Slovenia, Glasbena matica Slovenije, IMAGO Sloveniae, Branimir Slokar Academy, Janus Atelier etc. It recorded music for awarded slovenian film Vivir. In collaboration with Janus Atelier it also recorded a CD with music of slovenian composer Matija Krečič.
By some critics the orchestra is claimed to be the best chamber orchestra in the country. However quality did not come over the night. Orchestra’s quality grew dramatically under musical mentorship of Stephan Goerner (cellist, Carmina quartet) and other musical guests as Marko Letonja (conductor, Tasmanian symphony orchestra), Iztok Hrastnik (bassist, Vienna Philharmonics), Tanja Sonc (Tonhalle orchester Zurich) etc.
Orchestras vision for future is focused on starting a concert carriere abroad. For july 2015 it is preparing an international tour with powerful programme of Chech, Russian and Slovenian music (Suk – Serenade, Tchaikovsky – Souvenir de Florence, Matija Krečič – Antecessores). Orchestras main priorities are being perfect on all aspect of it’s creating – musically and in business. With such approach it plans to become in three to five years one of the most respected and valued orchestras in central European region.
